Embracing the digital and the painterly, examining artifice and reality, the work of Robin Megannity explores the humanity behind artificially created subject matter. Computer generated imagery is painted onto canvas, itself an illusionary medium, yet retains an emotional quality, an intimacy and tenderness that resonates beyond the source material.

Robin Megannity (1985) was born in the North West of England and received his BA in Fine Art from the Cardiff School of Art. He currently lives and works in Greater Manchester where he is studying for an MA in Painting at the Manchester School of Art. His work has been acquired by the Government Art Collection UK as well as private collections in the UK and Europe.
