We are very pleased to announce New Blood, an exhibition featuring work by current undergraduates and recent graduates from Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

New Blood will feature the work of exceptional early career artists Helen Clarke, Sasha Furnèe Horton, Mia Hoskins, Jaime Jover, Louise Lahive, Daniela Mendes, Katarzyna Rubach, Shannon Ryan, Lydia Stonehouse, Krystina Tyrtania and Tyler Watson.

The lockdown had devastating effects for art students over the last two years, degree shows were postponed, studios closed, lectures moved online and the opportunities to develop supportive peer groups diminished. To recognise this we are providing a number of these early career artists the opportunity to exhibit at the gallery through November and December along with a mentoring programme that will, frankly, last until they no longer need our advice. This programme is open not just to the artists selected for New Blood but to all the artists who answered our open call.
